HOW WE WORK
Nice of you to think of Abacus Theater for your event! When you book us, we will of course be in touch about the details but here we tell you in advance what you can expect from us.
Abacus Theater provides mobile visual theater: walk-acts, parades or entrance acts. We do not provide a finished play but move among the audience as a strolling act or parade. Usually we play in 3 blocks of 30 minutes or 4 blocks of 20 minutes. Always in consultation with the organization and appropriate to the event/festival.
NEEDED ON SITE
Because of the transportation of the machines, we come with a van and a large trailer. There should be a place for this, close to our playing field. In fact, during the day we need a lot of stuff from the bus: smoke liquid, batteries, chargers, etc.
Changing clothes and make-up is done in the bus, a changing room is not necessary because of this.
BETWEEN PERFORMANCES
If we don’t drive the machines, they are art objects. They are publicly displayed between performances. This is where spontaneous photo sessions with visitors sometimes arise.
